As a woman firmly in my late 30s, I’d love to be able to say the days of pimples and acne are long behind me.

Not so much.

I have refined and improved my skincare routine and techniques over the years and while my breakouts are less frequent, they now tend to be more obvious. Or maybe I’m more aware. Either way, I want them gone, even before they show their ugly red faces on the surface of my skin.

Enter Murad Acne Spot Treatmenthttp://. With a super effective (and kind of scary sounding) blend of sulfur and my BFF salicylic acid, the Spot Treatment is by far the speediest acne treatment I’ve ever used. The formula is gentle, easy to apply, and hella effective.

When I feel a blemish developing, I dab on a bit at night and again in the morning (of course on a clean face), and after a day or two, the Murad Acne Spot Treatment sends those pimply cooties on their way before they advance further.

Efficacy is among the reasons I love this product so — it works fast, while soothing redness and irritation/inflammation often associated with acne (licorice extract and Allantoin do the job, thank you very much). Hydrolyzed oat flour, and antioxidant vitamins C and E minimize dryness and flaking. $18,Sephora, Ulta
