Charlotte’s fashion community is all abuzz about a new entry into the runway show scene: Front Row Charlotte, which will bow Feb. 28 at Triple C Brewery, 2900 Griffith St., in the SouthEnd.
Combining a runway show with pop-up boutiques and featuring only front row seating (it’s not as tough to pull off as it may sound — it just means a single row of chairs will snake around the runway that is longer than a typical runway), the event has potential to elevate the crowded, not-always-successful fashion show scene in the Queen City.
The brainchild of stylists Erica Hanks, Joey Hewell and Effie Loukas, the trio aspire to elevate the local fashion and shopping experience. Boutiques participating include Chezelle, KK Bloom, Lotus, Monkees of Lake Norman*, Olive Online Boutique as well as jewelry designers Mere Jewelry and Towne & Reese.
Triple C Brewery is creating a special “Front Row Ale” for the event, which will also feature nibbles from Roots Farm Food truck and Charleston Fashion Week DJs Arthur Brothers.
Valet will be available and swag bags are included in the $30 ticket price. Proceeds from ticket sales will benefit Safe Alliance. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m., with the show beginning “promptly” at 7 p.m. Click here to buy tickets, which I hear are going fast.
