Don’t you dare call this blow dry bar a salon. “Blo is different,” says Hilary Chan-Kent, Chief Brand Manager of the Vancouver-based company. “Coming here isn’t cheating on your hairdresser. We are totally dedicated to the blowout.” The concept isn’t new to the Queen City, but those with an appetite for edge will appreciate Blo’s innuendo-laced branding. Take the bar’s signature tagline for example, ‘Cause you can’t blo yourself. Blushing yet? All jokes aside, there’s more than wit behind the Blo brand, including rigorously trained stylists and a price point that won’t blow your budget—just $35 for any of the bar’s seven signature styles.
