Beach music lovers and shaggers won't want to miss the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce's Beach Music Festival on Saturday.
It will be in downtown Myrtle Beach, on Ocean Boulevard between Eighth and Ninth avenues North from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. The free festival features legendary beach bands, including the Embers (10-11:15 a.m.), Jim Quick & Coastline (11:30 a.m.-12:45 p.m.), Billy Scott & The Party Prophets (1-2:15 p.m.), Maurice Williams & The Zodiacs (2:30-3:45 p.m.), Mark Roberts & The Breeze (4-5:15 p.m.), the Coasters (5:30-6:45 p.m.), the Catalinas (7-8:15 p.m.) and Ben E. King (8:45-9:45 p.m.).
There will be food, arts and crafts, a beer garden and a fireworks finale. The festival will be held in conjunction with the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk ribbon- cutting, which will be at noon.

Blue Crab Festival
in Little River
The 29th annual Blue Crab Festival will be 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m.-6 p.m. next Sunday on the historic waterfront in Little River. It features arts and crafts, food and a children's area. Entertainment Saturday includes performances by the Craig Woolard Band at noon and Too Much Sylvia at 4 p.m. The Fantastic Shakers perform at noon next Sunday, followed by Jim Quick & Coastline at 4 p.m.

at The Boathouse
Free live music on a weekly basis is back for the summer at The Boathouse Waterway Bar and Grill, 201 Fantasy Harbor Blvd., Myrtle Beach.
The Boathouse's annual Backyard Summer Concert Series takes place on the outdoor stage overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway at 4 p.m. Sundays.
This year's lineup includes a variety of performers for various musical tastes including rock, country and alternative.
