FREE CIVIL WAR PRESENTATIONS ON OBX: The National Park Service Outer Banks Group's Know Your Park citizen science program series continues with a free presentation from Civil War historian Drew Pullen on Feb 28: "The Civil War on Hatteras and Ocracoke Islands."
The one-hour program will be at 7:30 p.m. at the Fessenden Center in Buxton, and 7 p.m. March 1 at the Ocracoke Community Center.
Pullen is the author of "Portrait of the Past: The Civil War on Hatteras Island, North Carolina."
