South Carolina

Along the coast: “Salute From the Shore” flyover: Various vintage military aircraft do a coastal, low-level flyover parade, 1-2 p.m. July 4, on the South Carolina coast – south from N.C. state line to Hilton Head Island along ocean, with projected fly-by at Cherry Grove Fishing Pier at 1 p.m.; North Myrtle Beach 1:02; Apache Family Campground Pier 1:05; Pier 14 and Springmaid Beach piers in Myrtle Beach at 1:07 and 1:09, respectively; Surfside Pier 1:12; Murrells Inlet Jetty 1:16; Litchfield Beach 1:18; Pawleys Island 1:19; and DeBordieu Colony 1:22; and south to Hilton Head Island by about 2:06. Sunset Beach: “Fourth of July Celebration at the Old Bridge”: Held at the Old swing bridge site, 109 Shoreline Drive W., Sunset Beach, July 4.

Parade with decorated bicycles, tricycles, strollers, scooters, wagons, skateboards and anything that rolls, 8:30 a.m. followed by contests and activities for participants, including face painting, an egg relay, a cupcake walk, and a water bucket relay, with prizes for contest winners.
