Jockey’s Ridge offers dune, hiking trails

Jockey’s Ridge, on the Outer Banks, is never exactly the same from one season to the next. In winter, the winds normally blow northeast to southwest; during summer, winds blow southwest to northeast. As a result, that Jockey’s Ridge is constantly shifting back and forth.
