Four people were injured this morning in northeast Charlotte in a collision involving five cars and a Charlotte-Mecklenburg school bus.
No students aboard the bus were injured, according to officials from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools and Medic, the county's emergency medical service.
A spokeswoman for CMS said the bus was No. 1530, taking students to Newell Elementary School. There were 17 students aboard.
The wreck was reported about 8:45 a.m. on East W.T. Harris Boulevard at Rose Heather Court. That is between University City Boulevard and Old Concord Road.
A spokeswoman for Medic said the four injured people had injuries that were not life-threatening. They were taken to area hospitals. Traffic delays are likely in the area until 10 a.m.
