    Board of education – District 3 (nonpartisan): James Ross II

    Board of education – District 6 (nonpartisan): Tim Morgan

    Board of commissioners, Town of Cornelius (nonpartisan): Thurman Ross Jr.

    Board of commissioners, Town of Davidson (nonpartisan): Drew Crawford

    Board of commissioners, Town of Huntersville (nonpartisan): Jeff Pugliese

    Board of commissioners, Town of Mint Hill (nonpartisan): Lloyd Austin, Carl Mickey Ellington

    Mayor, Town of Mint Hill (nonpartisan): Ted Biggers


Two candidates joined the contest for Charlotte City Council seats Friday, the midway point in the election's two-week filing period.

Matthew Ridenhour, a Republican, filed to run for one of four at-large seats. And Democrat Darrell Bonapart filed to run in District 5, challenging longtime incumbent Democrat Nancy Carter.
