Charlotte-based Premier Inc. has named Leigh Anderson its new chief information officer, effective Monday. He will report to Michael Alkire, the company’s chief operating officer.
Anderson is taking over for Keith Figlioli, who is resigning from his position as senior vice president of health care informatics, effective Monday, Premier said in a statement. Figlioli will serve in an executive consulting role through Aug. 31 to ensure a smooth transition.
“Leigh’s proven expertise and demonstrated ability to operationalize informatics solutions make him the natural choice to succeed Keith and drive our business forward,” said Susan DeVore, Premier’s president and CEO.
In his new role, Anderson will oversee the continued development and growth of the company’s cloud-based informatics business, Premier said. Among other initiatives, he will also oversee data analytics development for the company’s specialty pharmacy and population health management services.
Anderson has been with Premier since 2013 and most recently served as the company’s chief operating officer for information and technology services.
Premier, the health care solutions company that went public in 2013, employs roughly 1,700 people, and about 60 percent of them are based in Charlotte.
