Charlotte Center City Partners has selected Pat Rodgers, president of Rodgers Builders Inc., as this year’s recipient of its Vision Award, an honor that celebrates local leaders’ efforts to develop the city’s center.

Rodgers, who has led the firm for 27 years, helped oversee at least 30 center city construction projects, according to Center City Partners. Among them: the Knight Theater, the Bechtler and Mint museums, the new BB&T Ballpark, ImaginOn, N.C. Dance Theater and others.

Center City Partners, a group that helps steer development of Charlotte’s uptown and the South End, noted that Rodgers has built the firm her husband started in 1963 into one of the nation’s leading contracting firms.
