The Toringdon development in south Charlotte has inked new tenants and is marketing a seventh office building, as development nearby adds shops, restaurants, hotel rooms and apartments.
Near Ballantyne Corporate Park, the six-building office park owned by Trinity Capital Partners is off I-485 at Johnston Road. Trinity Partners brokers Jennifer Kurz and Rhea Greene are preleasing an eight-story building to be built on the site. Called Toringdon 7, the building is designed by Gensler and will total 200,00 square feet, with open floorplans and floor-to-ceiling windows.
“Full-floor and larger users are having an increasingly difficult time finding options in the Toringdon/Ballantyne area. We are actively talking to users about preleasing space at T7 and want to ensure the market is aware of the compelling opportunity at Toringdon,” Greene and Kurz said in a joint statement.
Toringdon 7 is the final planned building in the office park.
The company inked two leases recently at Toringdon: Deephaven Mortgage is taking 14,335 square feet of space in Toringdon 3, represented by Cristy Nine of Savills Studley, while Wilmington FRA leased 5,123 square feet in Toringdon 1, represented by Zach McLaren and Andrew DeLamielleure of Cushman & Wakefield.
The office park is 93 percent leased. An adjacent Hampton Inn, with 120 rooms, opened in March, while Proffitt Dixon is developing a 245-unit apartment community next door, set to open in summer 2018.
“The mixed-use nature of the park continues to evolve as meaningful amenities open all around us within walking distance, including the hotel and multi-family project,” said Kurz.
