A new, for-sale housing development is planned to start construction soon next to Ballantyne Country Club.
Called SouthRidge, the development on North Community House Road will include 27 single-family houses and 60 townhouses. Prices will start in the $400,000-range, homebuilder David Weekley said.
Pre-sales for SouthRidge are starting in June, with houses ranging from 2,900 to 3,900 square feet. The company is also building at Greenway Village, another Ballantyne-area development, with 17 single-family houses and 27 townhouses near the Toringdon mixed-use development.
“We’re excited to soon expand our offerings in the Ballantyne area with our second South Charlotte community,” said Mark Gibbs, division president for David Weekley Homes in Charlotte, in a statement. “SouthRidge will include single-family, paired villa homes, along with townhomes.”
