Charlotte City Council is set for a busy night Monday, with votes on one of the most ambitious redevelopment plans in city history and several large new apartment projects.
Here’s a look at what’s on the agenda. I’ll be covering these and other zoning issues tonight:
▪ Camp North End: A New York-based developer is planning to redevelop a 75-acre former industrial park and distribution center north of uptown into a huge new, mixed-use project. It would include more than 1,000 apartments, hundreds of thousands of square feet of office space, shops and restaurants, a hotel and community gathering space.

▪ Westside apartments: Griffith Equities is planning to build 280 apartments to an 18-acre site in between Freedom Drive and West Morehead Street, on land that’s currently vacant.
▪ North Tryon apartments: Trevi Partners is planning to develop 275 apartments on North Tryon Street, between Wednesbury Boulevard and Caprington Avenue.
▪ Chick-fil-A: It’s seemingly small, but this is the most controversial thing on the agenda. A Chick-fil-A proposed for the northeast corner of Ridge Road and Prosperity Church Road has drawn strong opposition from neighbors worried about traffic.
