Beacon Partners has leased a floor of its office building at 801 E. Morehead Street to charity Girls on the Run International, the company said this week.
The nonprofit group, which helps girls thrive through a curriculum that includes running, is taking about 10,600 square feet in the three-story building.
“Girls on the Run has outgrown the two separate buildings it currently occupies in Myers Park, and our prime Midtown building will give them room to expand their horizons even further,” said Kristy Venning of Beacon Partners, in a statement. “As anchor tenant in the building, they will also benefit from an enhanced professional image and high branding visibility.”
Beacon Partners purchased the 30,549-square-foot building in 2013, and has since renovated 801 E. Morehead. The company has a large portfolio of office buildings on East Morehead Street, and is constructing a new, seven-story office building a few blocks away at 500 E. Morehead.
Jim Thorp and Bryan White of JLL represented Girls on the Run in the negotiations.
