Grading and other site work should begin next month near Interstate 485 and N.C. 16 for Riverbend Village, a major new mixed-use project in northwest Charlotte.
Simpson Commercial Real Estate and Landmark Development are behind the 115-acre project, which MPV Properties is marketing for lease.The project will include:
150,000 Square feet of office space
330,000 Square feet of retail space
The developers are targeting 2017 for completion of the first phase.
The area hasn’t developed nearly as rapidly as the southwest and southeast Charlotte parts of I-485. The Riverbend site is next to a Walmart, a Harris Teeter and a residential neighborhood, about a mile from Mountain Island Lake.
