Grubb Properties said Monday that it’s hired Henry Lomax to oversee its investment committee and financial practices as an executive vice president at the Charlotte-based development company.
Lomax has worked most recently as a managing director at brokerage firm CBRE, where he spent five years. Before that, Lomax worked at Crescent Resources and Bank of America.
At Grubb Properties, Lomax will be in charge of the company’s investment practices. In a news release, Grubb Properties said it usually vets almost 100 potential investments for each that it secures.
The company is active in several prominent Charlotte projects. Grubb Properties is a partner in the SkyHouse apartment development uptown, where workers are building a second 24-story tower, and is planning to build hundreds of apartments in mixed-use developments at its Park Road headquarters site and in Elizabeth along the streetcar line.
