A townhouse development proposed for north Charlotte could bring up to 125 new residences, according to a rezoning plan filed recently with the city.
Eastwood Homes is behind the planned development, to be called Davis Lake Town Homes. The 15.4-acre site is currently occupied by six single-family, detached houses.
The proposed development would be limited to two-story buildings, with the townhouses joined in groups of three, four or five attached units. A network of private streets would service the development, and at least 15 percent of the site – about 2.3 acres – would be kept as open space and tree-save areas.
Eastwood Homes has more than a dozen other developments in progress or completed in the Charlotte area. These include Savannah Townhomes in Steele Creek (starting at the mid-$100,000s), Belmar Place in Charlotte (starting in the $160,000s) and houses at Berewick (starting in the mid-$200,000s).
