Hartford Fire Insurance Co. has expanded at 8711 University Place, a building that recently added new amenities.
The company renewed its lease and has occupied an additional 24,000 square feet of space. Hartford now leases a total of 95,000 square feet of the building, located near the intersection of W.T. Harris Bouelvard and Old Concord Road.
Southhart Properties, owner of the 118,000 square foot building, built a new fitness facility. That totals 3,300 square feet. The owner also built a new outdoor patio as an amenity.
“With these upgrades, 8711 University Place is well positioned to serve the needs of Hartford Fire Insurance Co. and other office tenants in the growing University City submarket,” said Christine Sledge, a general manager with JLL, in a statement.
