The popular Babalu Tapas & Tacos and DeSano Pizza Bakery will be among the newest restaurants coming to Waverly, the 90-acre mixed-use development in south Charlotte. Also opening soon will be the clothing stores Fab’rik and Scout and Molly’s Boutique.
Waverly is anchored by a Whole Foods grocery store, which opened in May. Other tenants of the development just south of Interstate 485 include apartments, office buildings, a Hilton Garden Inn and dozens of shops and homes.
“The addition of these well-known fashion boutiques to our retail roster helps round out our tenant mix and ensures that Waverly is a vibrant shopping and dining destination in south Charlotte,” said Chris Thomas, partner at Childress Klein, the firm developing Waverly along with Crosland Southeast.
Here are the details of the new tenants that recently signed leases at Waverly:
▪ Babalu, which serves Spanish-style tapas and tacos, will open in a 5,018 square-foot space at Waverly
▪ DeSano, which specializes in Neapolitan-style pizza, will open in a 6,065 square-foot space sometime in the fourth quarter of this year
▪ Fab’rik, a women’s clothing boutique, will open in a 1,469 square-foot space this fall
▪ Scout and Molly’s, which sells women’s clothing and accessories, will open in a 1,436 square-foot space sometime this fall
