SouthPark mall is getting two new stores next week.
The home furnishings store Ballard Designs opens Nov. 17 across from Old Navy near Dillards, and the candy store Sugarfina opens Nov. 16 in a freestanding shop in the Fountain Court across from Godiva, according to SouthPark owner Simon Property Group.
Ballard Designs has traditionally been an online and catalog-based retailer. The SouthPark store will have will have indoor and outdoor furniture, lighting, 250 fabric options, and in-store monogramming, among other offerings, Simon said. This will be the company’s first N.C. store.
Sugarfina started out as an online store in 2012, and has since grown to 25 U.S. retail locations, Simon said. The Charlotte store will have more than 80 gourmet candies.
“With the addition of Sugarfina’s high-end candy selections and the breathtakingly beautiful custom home furnishings offered at Ballard Designs, we are proud to continue bringing the most sought-after luxury brands to the Charlotte community,” said Holly Roberson, director of marketing and business development at SouthPark.
SouthPark has seen a number of changes in its store lineup in recent months.
The women’s shoe store Aerosoles is closing its location in the mall after the first of the year, for instance. The Track & Field store closed in SouthPark last summer. The seasonal boutique Southern Connection opened in September near Kendra Scott.
