Lowe’s is looking to fill about 400 full-time jobs at its corporate offices in Mooresville and Wilkesboro.
In a statement Tuesday, the home improvement retailer said it is hiring more than 200 full-time employees for its “central quoting team” in Mooresville. The centralized team will be responsible for preparing floor installation quotes for Lowe’s stores, a task previously handled by store employees, the company said.
Those interested in the Mooresville quoting jobs should should have computer proficiency and service support experience, Lowe’s said. All applicants can apply online here: Jobs.lowes.com.
Lowe’s said it is also hiring more than 200 full-time employees to expand the company’s “central production office” in Wilkesboro. Lowe’s also grew that team, responsible for coordinating customer installations across the South, by about 300 earlier this year, the company said.

Applicants interested in the Wilkesboro jobs should have “a broad knowledge of remodeling, installation management and installation practices, as well as strong interpersonal skills,” Lowe’s said.
Lowe’s employs more than 3,000 at its Mooresville headquarters, and another 1,500 at its Wilkesboro corporate offices. For competitive reasons, a Lowe’s spokesman would not disclose the pay for the new positions.
Lowe’s latest hiring comes as the company has been trimming other jobs in North Carolina and nationwide in recent months.
In August, for instance, Lowe’s laid off an undisclosed number of delivery workers because the company decided to use a third-party service instead. This summer, the company also cut about 125 tech jobs, mostly in Mooresville, and sent most functions to its offices in Bangalore, India.
