Burberry is closing its doors at SouthPark mall after over 10 years.
A store manager confirmed news of the closure but declined to provide additional details about when and why it is closing. Burberry’s corporate office could not immediately be reached for comment.
The London-based designer specializes in outerwear, fragrances, accessories and apparel and is widely recognized by its use of criss-crossed tartan patterning.
Burberry been in SouthPark mall since 2004, when the shopping center underwent a major renovation and added a Nordstrom luxury wing and high-end stores including Kate Spade New York and Louis Vuitton.
The Burberry in SouthPark is located next to Michael Kors in the Neiman Marcus wing.
SouthPark mall officials recently announced that starting this month, the mall will undergo significant interior and exterior renovations that include new luxury seating areas with enhanced Wi-Fi connectivity, new interior signage and a new two-sided gas fireplace in the West Plaza near Dick’s Sporting Goods.
