South End will soon say goodbye to Paradise Island Dive Shop.
Real estate firm MPV Properties has purchased the retailer’s property at 2317 South Blvd., which is across the street from Publix and Camden Southline apartments.
MPV will redevelop the 8,000-square-foot building into a multi-tenant retail building anchored by MattressPro. A representative from the real estate firm could not be reached for comment.
A store employee said the diving equipment company has to vacate by July 31, but that it will be opening a new location in January.
Never miss a local story.
The location of the new store was not immediately clear.
MPV Properties manages other properties nearby, including the new Fresh Market at Dilworth Gardens and the building that Greek Isles is vacating just up the street at 200 E. Bland, which will be a Mexican restaurant.
