BJ’s Wholesale Club will offer “Black Friday week” deals from Nov. 20-30. The retailer will be closed on Thanksgiving and open its doors on Black Friday at 7 a.m.
The club’s 10 days of promotions underscore how retailers’ focus on a single day of shopping, Black Friday, is waning. Rival Target is also planning a 10-day holiday sale that begins Nov. 22.
During its promotion period, BJ’s will offer discounts on a variety of items including Smart TVs, Fitbits, furniture, luggage, clothing and home goods. An extensive list can be found here.
“To give our team a well-deserved holiday, our home office, 209 clubs and three distribution centers will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, allowing our 25,000 dedicated team members the time they deserve to celebrate all that they are grateful for with family and friends,” said Laura Sen, BJ’s chief executive officer, in a statement.
The club said shoppers can sign up for a free six-day membership through Dec. 31 by visiting www.bjs.com/savings.
BJ’s is opening a new Charlotte location in the Metropolitan shopping center on Saturday. The retailer operates nine other stores in North Carolina, according to its website.
