It’s the most wonderful time of the year.
Beginning Tuesday, Girl Scout cookie orders will be accepted by a local Scout via her personalized website or via traditional, face-to-face ordering.
Cookies ordered online arrive within three to five business days, according to a memo Tuesday from Girl Scouts Hornets’ Nest Council, which has troops in Anson, Cabarrus, Mecklenburg, Montgomery, Rowan, Stanly, Union and York counties.
Cookies ordered through “traditional methods,” like door-to-door sales, will be delivered starting in February, with booth sales slated to begin Feb. 12.
Girl Scout cookies available for purchase this year include Do-si-dos, Rah Rah Raisins, Samoas, Savannah Smiles, Tagalongs, Thin Mints, Toffee-tastics and Trefoils.
“The young female entrepreneurs acquire essential business skills with each purchase made like goal setting, decision making, money management, people skills and business ethics that help shape their future as leaders,” the Hornets’ Nest Council said.
This the second year Girl Scouts USA is doing digital orders. Customers need to order through the personalized site of a Scout they know, a spokeswoman said.
