Statistically speaking: Optimism levels high among small-business owners

Small-business owners are the most optimistic they have been in five years, according to a Wells Fargo/Gallup Small Business Index released on Feb. 5.

Small-business owners are the most optimistic they have been in five years, according to a Wells Fargo/Gallup Small Business Index released on Feb. 5. Of the 603 small-business owners surveyed:

57 percent expect to have good cash flow in 2014.

55 percent would opt to continue working if money were no object.

62 percent said they are not worried or not too worried about being able to sell their businesses when they are ready.
