Most small-business owners don’t have a plan for exiting their business, according to a recently released nationwide survey of 500 owners by Securian Financial Group.

60% of small-business owners don’t have an exit plan and aren’t working on one.

16% are working on one but haven’t finished it.

24% have a formal exit strategy in place.

15% say they haven’t prepared a plan because family isn’t interested in taking over the business.
