Charlotte is experiencing dense patchy fog Wednesday morning, which could make driving hazardous.
The fog is heaviest in low lying areas, such as interstate underpasses.
Mecklenburg and surrounding counties are included in the fog advisory until 10 a.m., says the National Weather Service.
The advisory means visibility will be frequently reduced to less than one quarter of a mile.

Motorists are advised to slow down.
