Robert Masteller, owner of the Jazz Corner on Hilton Head Island, was reported missing Monday night and his car was found this morning on the southbound lanes of the Cross Island Parkway, according to the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office.
Sheriff's Office, Coast Guard and S.C. Department of Natural Resources personnel are searching the area for Masteller, who lives in Sea Pines.
Masteller was last seen at 10:30 p.m. Monday at his home. His car was found at about 7:30 a.m., according to sheriff Capt. Bob Bromage.
He was believed to be wearing sweat pants and a black turtleneck shirt. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is encouraged to call the Sheriff's Office Emergency Dispatch at 911.

Masteller and his wife, Lois, formed the Jazz Corner in 1999, and the well-known club on Hilton Head, considered to be one of the best jazz clubs in the country, celebrated its 15th anniversary last year.
The Mastellers also formed the Junior Jazz Foundation, a philanthropic outreach that raises money to provide instruments for students who would otherwise not be able to afford them.
