A Charlotte Uber driver is reporting his vehicle was caught in the crossfire when bullets were fired in northeast Charlotte, reports the Observer’s news partner WBTV.
It happened about 6 a.m. Tuesday in the 200 block of W. 30th Street, where the driver said his vehicle, a silver Mitsubishi sedan, was shot four times, it was reported.
No injuries were reported and no arrests have been made.
The driver, Kareem Harris, told WBTV that he does not think he was the target of the shooting but was at the wrong place at the wrong time.
News of the incident comes just over a week after another Charlotte Uber driver was kidnapped and killed. Two men have been arrested in the case, after they were caught in his car in Maryland.
The victim in the killing was a Charlotte immigrant, Marlo Johnis Medina-Chevez, who had started working for Uber in December.
