A no-swimming advisory was issued for part of a popular coastal resort community on Wednesday.
High bacteria counts led to the closure of an area at 16th Avenue North in Surfside Beach, S.C., according to the state Department of Health and Environmental Control.
Surfside Beach is about 8 miles south of Myrtle Beach on U.S. 17.
