A man reportedly jumped off a skywalk in uptown Charlotte and landed on a car on College Street Friday afternoon, reports Charlotte TV station WSOC.
The man was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries, Medic said in a tweet. It was unclear if the driver of the car was injured.
Police closed off the intersection of College and 4th streets shortly before 3 p.m. Friday, due to the incident.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police officers and seven squad cars were seen scattered across lanes near the EpiCentre in uptown.

Multiple media outlets were reporting the area was blocked off the area, starting at about 2:45 p.m.
Medic ambulance service tweeted out that it had treated one person at the scene for “life threatening injuries” and transported them to Carolinas Medical Center. It did not specifiy how the person was injured.
