A 5-year-old boy was rushed to the hospital after being struck by a vehicle in southwest Charlotte Thursday evening.
Police said the incident happened at 6:14 p.m. near the intersection of Willetta Drive and Nations Ford Road after the child ran into the street and in front of a moving car. The child was taken to Carolinas Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries, police said.
The driver of the car wasn’t charged for the collision, but police said the driver had a suspended license and was arrested on that charge.
