A man is in custody following a SWAT situation in Charlotte's University area that police said was sparked by a domestic dispute Wednesday morning.
Officers were called to the 700 block of Potenza Drive at 2:32 a.m. where a woman said her relative’s boyfriend would not let the relative and children leave the home. The woman told police she believed the man was possibly armed.
Police said the man, 40-year-old Corey Lamont Seburn, refused to leave the home and barricaded himself in with four other people.
A SWAT team responded, and Seburn surrendered around 9 a.m., police said. No one in the home was harmed, police said.
