A new poll indicates that the contest between Rep. Robin Hayes and his two-time challenger Larry Kissell could be as close as their 2006 showdown, which was decided by just 330 votes.
The survey by Democratic pollsters Greenberg, Quinlan, Rosner suggests that Democrat Kissell, a Biscoe school teacher, is leading 54percent to 43 percent.
Last week, a poll conducted for Hayes by Public Opinion Strategies showed the lawmaker up 46 percent to 43 percent.
