An employee of the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office received a surprise on their personal car – an anonymous note thanking them for their service.
“I want you to know that we have not forgotten you. Your brave sacrifices and those of your comrades are appreciated,” the note said.
The note said that the writer is keeping the officer in their prayers and thanked them for their continued service.
The note is left in the wake of the Baton Rouge and Dallas shootings, leaving many officers across the nation worried about their safety.
“We are greatful [sic] for our concerned citizens,” the sheriff’s office posted on its Twitter account.
