Charlotte-Mecklenburg police on Saturday said they arrested a man who had shot at their officers on Friday.
Three others also were arrested at the scene, police said. There were no injuries in the incident.
Authorities said officers were conducting a separate shooting investigation at the 1800 block of Village Lake Drive around 9:30 a.m. Friday, and when they were inside a residence a man ran upstairs and began shooting at them.
The man then jumped from a second-story window and ran from the apartment, police said.
Officers located the suspect nearby and he was taken into custody. During a search, police said a firearm was found at the scene but did not identify what type of weapon it was.
Police said Omar Cook, 25, was charged with two counts of attempted first-degree murder and two counts of assault with a deadly weapon on emergency personnel.
Authorities said Lorrece Nicole Cook, 39, was charged with resist, obstruct and delay; Jabari Cook, 27, with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia; and Tyree Allyn Irvine, 20, with assault on a government official and resist, obstruct and delay.
They were transferred to the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office.
