Biltmore Estate hid precious art during World War II

Asheville’s Biltmore Estate played a top-secret role when precious art was stashed at the big house during World War II. Famous works by Rembrandt, Raphael and Anthony van Dyck were whisked away from Washington’s National Gallery of Art and hidden at the estate.
