The morning commute has ended, and the heaviest rain has moved east of Charlotte, but traffic troubles remain in the region.
Two collisions have been reported recently on University City Boulevard – one at Suther Road near UNC Charlotte and the other near Pavilion Boulevard.

I-77 northbound, south Charlotte ... Congestion; traffic moving 35-45 mph from Carowinds Boulevard up to Clanton Road.
East 7th Street at Hawthorne Drive ... Collision with injuries; moderate delays.
University City Boulevard, between Harris Boulevard and I-485 ... Collisions at Suther Road and Pavilion Boulevard; moderate to heavy delays.
Monroe Road at Idlewild Road ... Earlier collision being cleared; minor delays.
