The Charlotte Knights and Queen City Q teamed up to host the first round of the team's National Anthem tryouts on Monday night at Queen City Q in Uptown Charlotte.

The tryouts were free of charge open to the public.

"We are very excited to begin our search for the top performers in the area," said Charlotte Knights Community Relations Director Lindsey Roycraft. "This is a great opportunity for people to become a part of the inaugural season at BB&T Ballpark. We look forward to finding many talented voices to sing the National Anthem during the 2014 season."

Fans that are unable to make the auditions can send a copy of a performance to the Charlotte Knights via email at community@charlotteknights.com. Website links and mailed submissions will also be accepted at 324 South Mint Street Charlotte, NC 28202. The Knights will open BB&T Ballpark on Friday night, April 11 at 7:05 p.m. against the Norfolk Tides.
