No injuries were reported Tuesday morning in a collision involving a Charlotte-Mecklenburg School bus and a car in Charlotte’s University City area, police say.
The crash was reported about 7:50 a.m. on University City Boulevard at Oak Leigh Drive. That is a short distance north of Interstate 485.
The collision involved CMS Bus T-1964 and a Toyota Corolla. A spokeswoman for the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools said the bus was headed to Ridge Road Middle School and was carrying three students.
The car suffered significant front-end damage, and the bus was damaged in the area of the right wheel.
CMS said a replacement bus was sent to pick up the students.
