2 pedestrians hit in Charlotte, taken to the hospital

At about 2 p.m. Saturday, two pedestrians were struck in different Charlotte locations and taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
One happened at Ninth and College streets uptown, Medic said, and the other was in the 12200 block of Dearmon Road, which is in north Charlotte.
Both pedestrians were taken to Carolinas Medical Center with life-threatening injuries, Medic said.
