An Irmo man who wants to remain anonymous won $1 million from a scratch-off ticket he bought in York.
The winner purchased the lucky Millionaire Madness ticket at Revis Grocery at 1005 N. Congress St. in York. The man declined to release his name. His identity is a mystery even to the clerks at the shop, who were surprised to learn they had sold the winning ticket.
Lottery officials can say the millionaire was lucky enough to overcome odds of 1 in 1.4 million.
Just over a week ago, a Manning woman claimed the first $1 million prize on the Millionaire Madness ticket. The Irmo winner leaves one, $1 million top prize remaining in the Millionaire Madness game that went on sale February 25.
Revis Grocery received a commission of $10,000 for selling the claimed ticket.
