Update: The Observer has opened access to its e-Edition, phone and tablet apps today because of the delay in delivering the printed newspaper. Access to these products is free today.
Because of a production problem, customers will receive their printed Observer late. We apologize for any inconvenience.
We'll make as many deliveries as possible today, including copies of the Wall Street Journal, which is also printed on the Observer's press. Other deliveries will come tomorrow with your Thursday edition.
In the meantime, you can access our E-edition for an online replica of the paper by clicking here. Then select "desktop version sign in" or "mobile sign in." You'll need to be signed into your Observer Plus account.
The E-edition is just like the printed Charlotte Observer, plus you can share stories, enlarge the type, search for what you want and read 10 days of back issues.
Our toll-free customer service number also has been experiencing problems today.
