Mecklenburg County officials issued a no-swimming advisory Wednesday for part of Nance Cove on Mountain Island Lake after a sewage spill. The spill of 5,500 gallons of sewage from a broken pipe serving 9820 Callabridge Court happened Wednesday. The sewage flowed into a tributary of the cove. Water samples will be collected until bacterial levels fall to levels safe for swimming. Bruce Henderson
