Pedestrian dies in Chester, SC, crash

A Chester, S.C., man was killed when he was struck by a vehicle Sunday morning in Chester, according to the Highway Patrol. Frederick Alexander Johnson, 34, was struck head-on by an SUV about 4a.m., on S.C. 9 about two miles from Richburg, the Highway Patrol says. The driver of the SUV was not injured. Johnson was pronounced dead at the scene. The (Rock Hill) Herald
