A glorious Memorial Day weekend is in store for the Charlotte region, with sunny skies and temperatures in the mid- to low 80s expected.
A slight chance of thunderstorms exists on Friday, when temperatures will hit 86 degrees, according to forecasters.
But Saturday, Sunday and Memorial Day will be ideal for getting out the grill or boating or floating on local lakes.
All three days will be sunny, with highs of 81 on Saturday, 83 on Sunday and 85 on Monday.
The mountains and beaches will be just as sunny and fine, although a similarly slight chance of thunderstorms is forecast for Asheville on Friday and Memorial Day.
Myrtle Beach has a 30 percent chance of thunderstorms on Friday, then it’s all sun the rest of the weekend, with a forecast high of 79 degrees on Memorial Day.
