Veterans can apply for VA health care benefits from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 31 at the Price of Freedom Museum, 2420 Weaver Road, China Grove.

Former military members not enrolled for VA health care benefits must bring a copy of their DD Form 214, Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty, to attach to their application. Bring a copy, not the original DD Form 214.

Staff from the W.G. “Bill” Hefner VA Medical Center in Salisbury will help in completing enrollment applications, requesting DD Form 214s and initiating MyHealtheVet online services.

Veterans who’ve lost their DD Form 214 can request a copy at http://www.archives.gov/veterans/military-service-records/.

Details: 800-469-8262, exts. 4958, 4960, 4937 and 4315.
