Missing Kannapolis teen located safe and returned to his family

A missing Kannapolis teenager has been located safe and returned to his family, authorities said Saturday.

A missing Kannapolis teenager has been located safe and returned to his family, authorities said Saturday.

Bryan Alexander Parker, 19, was last seen between 8 and 8:30 p.m. Thursday at Midway United Methodist Church near the corner of South Main and Bethpage Road in Kannapolis.

Kannapolis police said he has been diagnosed with a mental disorder and requires adult care.

Police said Parker came home from school around 5 p.m. on Thursday, talked with his sister and then went to a friend’s house to watch a basketball game.

Shortly after he arrived at the residence, he said he was going to a church on Bethpage Road to eat.

Police said Parker didn’t come home Thursday night didn’t show up for school on Friday when was reported missing.

Police didn’t release details about where Parker was found.
